Baby Prodigy Review & Giveaway (DVD's)

I have three small children and although I try not to let them watch to much TV but let's face it- It happens!  When they are watching I try to make sure it is something educational but it is not always easy to find something that will hold their interest.

Baby Prodigy has been great!! They have DVD's that keep my younger boys (ages 2 and 1) entertained and I know they are actually learning.  Baby Prodigy is committed to "helping parents, grandparents and caregivers all over the world raise SMARTER, HAPPIER young children in NEW and FUN ways".  They have won NUMEROUS awards.  Baby Prodigy was founded in 2001 by Barbara Marcus.

 

I watched Baby's First Words with my 1-year old first.  He really seemed to enjoy it and the ducks (the main characters Dookie & Dottie Duck) really held his attention.  This would not only show him a word but then have a video such as saying and spelling beach and then showing clips of the beach.  This really helps children understand the word.

My 2-year old (almost 3) loved this pre-school DVD.  It really helped him.  My husband and I watched him for quite awhile answering questions.  His favorite was the "What does not belong"?  They have an item such as a shoe on the bathroom counter along with things that belong in the bathroom and the child has the chance to guess what does not belong. 

He also really enjoyed Dookie & Dottie Duck and a part where they play hide and seek and he had to remember where the duck was hiding.  It also goes over shapes and they sing songs.  I am very pleased with this DVD.

My 1-year old was getting fussy and I turned this movie on.  Although it did not actually put him to sleep it did calm him down and get his attention.  He seemed to really enjoy the bright colors and songs.

Overall, I am very happy with these DVD's.  It is nice to have something to turn on for my boys that is fun yet educational.  These would be great if you have young children or would make a great gift for someone who does.
