My kids LOVE play dough but it always worries me because of their ages. The 5-year old is old enough to not eat it but the 3-year old and 1-year old are a different story. I can't say I haven't seen them stick it in their mouths a few times. Many Play Doughs specifically say "DO NOT EAT" So you can imagine how excited I was when I was given the chance to review Yummy Dough.
This stuff is so cool! It comes with four packs of powder mix (blue, green, red & yellow) that you mix with 20 ml of water. I was thinking- How do I measure that? when I noticed a syringe. Perfect! It has 20 ml right on it. You mix the water with the white powder and it changes color. It was pretty fun to watch. You mix it up until crumbly and then you knead it with your hands until it is soft and pliable.
My kids really enjoyed Yummy Dough (& the taste!) You can eat the dough raw or you can bake your creations and then eat them. You do have to watch because baking times depend upon the thickness of the dough but mine ended up being about the same time. You can check out the Yummy Dough website for great ideas (birthdays, summer parties, etc) and also a wonderful tutorial.
Our birthday creations (it was my cousin's birthday)
This makes enough dough to make plenty of things. I was not able to take any more pictures because of my camera not working but this provided fun for me and 4 children for quite awhile!
Yummy Dough is offering one of my Lucky Readers their own box!

My favorite thing by far is that this product was "invented" by two kids - that is just to cool and my two kids would love that little fact.

My granddaughter and I always try and do different and fun things together and this would be soooooooo much fun, not to mention edible too. She loves trying to make characters with play dough so she and I would have a ball making and baking Yummy Dough.
