We just had the chance to travel to Disneyland last week! This has been my favorite family vacation so far and I would love to share about our experience. From where we live to Disneyland is a 6-8 hour trip. My daughter was in Vegas and because we had to pick her up, we decided to go the Vegas route. This added on a couple hours to our trip and with three young kids (5, 3 and 1) we knew this would be a hard trip. We decided to leave around 10 at night and drive to Vegas- this got about 3 hours of driving out of the way and the kids slept this whole time! We got a very cheap room in Vegas so we could all get some rest.
The next morning we continued on our journey. We had packed an ice chest with tons of drinks and snacks to keep us from having to stop much- Of course with a 3-year old who hasn’t been potty trained too long we still ended up stopping more than I would have liked but this was a great chance for everyone to stretch out. We also purchased a DVD player and a couple movies while in Vegas that morning. This was a HUGE help!! This kept our children occupied about ¾ of the way and gave us a chance to catch up on new movies we had been wanting to see.
One hard part is three kids in the back of a car. I love my charger and all three car seats are able to fit but there is no extra room. This gives the kids a chance to fight and believe me, they did a few times! I always try to distract them with a small toy or food. During our trip, it seemed about 10 minutes into fighting they were all passed out!
Although sometimes stressful , I really do enjoy this time with my children. Without the distractions of everyday life I love to spend this time talking with them and playing games. Once the kids were sleeping my husband and I were able to enjoy some quality time talking. I always feel like we get a little closer after a long road trip. We all made it to our hotel in one piece and everyone was in a good mood for being in the car all day!
I really think a big part of traveling with children is being prepared. Lots of snacks, toys & a DVD player are great help ;o)

Winter Safety Tips
Winter Tires are designed to deliver safety and control in snow, ice, and cold weather conditions. Many people think that all-season tires can deliver this same performance, but this is not true. The superior traction that winter tires deliver, as much as a 25 to 50 percent increase over all-season tires, can very well be the margin you need to stop in time or turn to avoid trouble.
